Morellino Classica 2024 - Hatice Dogan Sevinc (August 2024)

HATICE DOĞAN SEVINÇ was born in Istanbul. She graduated with one of the greatest artists of Turkish traditional music (classical kemenche, cello, tambour) İhsan Özgen.

She has performed as a soloist with various orchestras and ensembles, including the ITU State Conservatory of Music Chamber Orchestra, Istanbul Chamber Orchestra, Izmir Yaşar University Chamber Orchestra, Karşıyaka Chamber Orchestra, Eskişehir Anadolu University Symphony Orchestra, Macedonia Symphony Orchestra, Sarajevo Philharmonic Orchestra, Izmir State Symphony Orchestra, Ankara Presidential Symphony Orchestra, Antalya State Symphony Orchestra, Çukurova State Symphony Orchestra. She has also performed with the Lale Women Ensemble in Amsterdam and Boston, as well as the Secret Ensemble in London. Her album “Dilhayat Kalfa” was released by Kalan Music in 2017. She has appeared as a soloist on numerous international CDs including 2021’s “Women Play and Sing the World”.

She premiered Münir Nurettin Beken’s “Double Concerto” for 2 Classical Kemenche at the Cemal Reşit Rey Concert Hall with the Cameristi della Scala and Hasan Niyazi Tura’s “Classical Kemenche Concerto” with the Antalya State Symphony Orchestra under the direction of the composer himself. She is the author of two volumes of teaching of traditional Turkish music.
