Pilates at Potentino- Patrice Munro in residence

Louisa Young introduced us to Patrice Munro last year as we are all recovering from various accidents and I can safely say that Patrice has put me on the road to recovery after my skiing accident in 2016 left me limping. She is a wonderfully positive and energetic person who makes everything seem possible. I cannot recommend her more highly. For this reason we decided to invite her back to Potentino.

Patrice will be on hand at the castle to help you and will schedule classes during your stay. Come for a few days, for the whole week or just for a class. You should be able to leave Potentino with a programme of exercises that you can take home with you.

About Patrice

The idea was not to overburden guests with too many activities- to let you decide what you want to do with the rest of the day- whether you would like to head to the local hot springs, do some sight-seeing, swim in the swimming pool, forage in the Potentino valley, get a massage or sit in front of the fire with a book from the Potentino book shelves.

Originally from New Zealand, Patrice initially completed fourteen months of rigorous training for her mat work qualification at the studio Pilates in Motion, in London, 2011, with Anoushka Boone and Mike Perry, founding members of the Independent Pilates Teachers Association, IPTA.  Deepening her knowledge, Patrice went on to complete her comprehensive Studio apparatus training, with further fourteen months of training with Anoushka and Mike, finishing in 2013.

Patrice is now a highly trained and well respected Pilates Teacher, in both classical Pilates mat and studio work.   Patrice is an extremely versatile teacher, working in her own busy studio and was teaching in other West London Pilates studios.

She recently completed City & Guild course majoring in tutoring, to begin tutoring the next generation of teachers.

Coming from her own busy studio in West London, Patrice is now developing Sphere Dynamic Pilates in rural France, Boeurs en Othe, 1.5hrs from Paris.

Patrice regularly undertakes her own training to continue the development of her practise.

She is registered with IPTA, Independent Pilates Teachers Association.

Patrice is a ni-dan karateka, 2nd degree blackbelt, in the World Seido Karate Organisation.
